Who is it suitable for?

This VRQ provides essential knowledge and skills for vehicle body repairers working on a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and specialist body businesses.

About

This qualification forms the knowledge component (technical certificate) of the IMI Sector Skills Council's Maintenance and Repair Advanced Apprenticeship framework (for Motorcycle). This learning programme qualification is based upon the IMI SSC’s National Occupational Standards for Maintenance and Repair (Motorcycle route).

Achievers of this qualification can use it as credit against the knowledge required for the corresponding qualification.

Progression

When an apprentice has achieved a L3 Apprenticeship, they can then choose to broaden their education and training in other ways from this firm base.

Assessment

The assessment is made up of three components:

• practical tasks
• online testing 
• written assignment / coursework
